Radio Public Service Announcements
to Promote Kicks Count!

Jeff Reed, kicker for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kirk Ferentz, head coach of the University of Iowa Hawkeyes lend their support, along with Iowa’s First Lady Mari Culver and Dr. Daniel Edelstone of University of Pittsburgh and Magee-Women’s Hospital.

Counting your baby's kicks during your last trimester is a simple, free and effective way to help monitor your baby's health. Experts now agree that it may also help reduce the risk of stillbirth.

Thanks to a grant from the Heinz Family Philanthropies, First Candle has joined forces with the Iowa Stillbirth Task Force and Finger Lake Productions to secure celebrity spokespersons and produce high quality radio public service announcements (PSAs) to deliver this important information to expectant parents. The campaign is currently being piloted in Iowa and Pittsburgh.

We are pleased to share with you the results of our efforts!
