Special Events

Each year, individuals and families from around the country host special events to benefit First Candle.  From walk-a-thons and golf tournaments to banquets and benefit concerts, we can help you plan your event. 

You can even designate a specific First Candle program that you would like to support. Whatever your event, we will work to support you with: 

  • Encouragement and consultation by national staff members experienced in special event fundraising; 

  • Management of all financial matters pertaining to your event, including all donor acknowledgments and thank you letters to event participants; 

  • Liability insurance for the day of event; 

  • Attendance of a national and/or local member representative at your event when possible; 

  • Drafts of letters and supporting materials to help solicit items/funds for the event; 

  • A list of media outlets in your community to assist in the promotion of your event; 

  • Use of First Candle/SIDS Alliance logo and artwork.
